1. Handmade gunmetal silk and satin Elizabethan corset - reversible
(plain black cotton duck on the inside), hand-reinforced grommets,
satin ribbon edging, stiff steel boning...this is pretty close to the
real thing, and as such, is neither comfortable nor practical. Would
be excellent for historical reenactment, renn faires, SCA events,
cons, and photoshoots, but not for everyday or club wear. It measures
24" fully laced closed, and would be best for a petite woman with a
short waist. I made this myself many years ago, and it has been worn
a few times. It is not perfect; the dyeing is very slightly uneven,
giving the silk a beautiful "washed" appearance. A lot of the details
were hand-sewn, meaning they do not look machined.
2. Eternal Love purple velvet bodice - stretchy purple velvet with
black rose-shaped buttons and black lace trim. Measures around 28"
unstretched. Missing one button, which could easily be replaced.
Another button is repaired with silver wire, which gives it a
beautiful contrast. Otherwise in perfect condition.
3. Warm teal brocade pirate shirt - ruffles along the neck and down
the front, ties with cord down the bust, ruffled cuffs on the
sleeves. The quintessential dandy pirate shirt, or romantic poet's
blouse. Small tear on the right lower seam, invisible when tucked in
or otherwise easily repaired.
4. Handmade black velvet Renaissance underbust bodice - Lush black
velvet backed with black canvas, this corset is also reversible, and
measures about 28" fully laced closed. Near-perfect condition.
5. Vegan black lace-up Victorian-style Oxfords - size 8.5 US women's,
but fits more like an 8. Beautiful curvaceous heel, and unique
lacing, with a round toe and smooth sole. Perfect for dancing. I
wore these faithfully for much of middle and high school, so they have
a few war wounds. But seriously? They have a LOT of life left in
them. They've been very recently re-heeled, as well.
I'm asking $60 for the lot, shipped within the US. Shipped outside
the US, please inquire for shipping. Feel free to offer more if you
want 'em worse than the last person! Bidding up is A-OK.
UPDATE: We have a bid for $60. I will leave this up for a couple more days to give everyone a chance.
