Kristina, as those of you privy to our various personalities can attest, is a coffee maniac. I can respect the coffee drinker, even though the closest I will approach the brew is when I do my bi-yearly tasting of some proffered beverage, only to find that I still despise it.So I present you, on behalf of our embedded coffee monsters, the Vac Pot coffee maker.
The burner under the water boiler is lit, and it boils the water into steam which travels along the pipe to the clear glass container (where the coffee rests). The steam condenses and mixes with the steamed coffee until the metal globe has been emptied of water - at which point it shuts off automaticaly. Then, the metal globe starts to suck the water back up through the tube (gravity and vacuum helping here) and you end up with a globe of apparently quite fine coffee!
Brass Goggles posts about it here.

Though, a distilling apparatus could be useful for making oils from the once used tea leaves for other uses? Earl Grey scented perfume perhaps?

Works for tea too
I went to the companies webpage and they say it works for tea also.November 6 2006, 02:48:01 UTC 5 years ago
If you want a really cool one, say "Go" and it's as good as done. There are plenty groups putting out really fancy-pantsy ones, and I am sure I know who makes them.
P.S. I can probably find one for tea as well. Hot tasty things is kind of my area of expertise.
